Quality Control and Inspection

Customized inspection standards based on your specific requirements

We comprehend the product demands of our clients and adhere to stringent guidelines while sourcing products. Ensuring that the products dispatched and received by our customers satisfy their quality requisites is a vital aspect of our process flow. Our inspectors conduct a final quality assurance check on all shipments before they are released for dispatch. The inspection guidelines encompass general as well as specific inspection criteria. At Procport Solutions Limited, we assist our clients in customizing the inspection criteria to align with their individual requirements.

Audit conducted at the factory site.

Another distinguishing factor of Procport Solutions Limited’s approach is conducting on-site factory field audits to verify the capabilities of suppliers. Our quality managers assist clients in determining if a supplier or manufacturer adheres to the necessary business and production standards to deliver top-notch products and services. The factory field audit strictly adheres to Procport Solutions Limited guidelines and control plans to ensure that the on-site audit verification process is executed efficiently. The assessment comprises a comprehensive checklist of factory documents, certifications, regulations, material control plans, inspection plans, production process controls, quality systems, R&D capabilities, and more. Photos are taken and compiled into an assessment summary report for clients to review, aiding in their decision-making process for selecting new suppliers.

Onsite Audits

conducting sample testing, and approving samples that meet the requirements.

Procport Solutions Limited will conduct a PPAP review of product qualification and specifications to ensure accuracy and functionality, particularly for new product development with new suppliers. The purpose of the PPAP is to confirm the supplier’s comprehension of our customer’s engineering design specifications and requirements, as well as to verify that the manufacturing process can consistently produce products that meet those requirements during mass production.

The Key elements are:

  • Part Submission Warrant;
  • Drawing verification – all critical or key characteristics match the requirement;
  • Engineering or process change notification and approval;
  • PFMEA – Potential failure mode and effects analysis;
  • Dimension testing results;
  • Record of materials and performance test;
  • Qualify laboratory documents;
  • Appearance approval;
  • Checking aids;
  • Sample evaluation reporting before sending the actual sample production parts to the customers for approval and signed off.

Inspection Criteria And AOL

The final AQL criteria for quality control is based on customer approved samples. A defect classification checklist will be created to establish general quality control points and standards. Procport Solutions Limited uses Level II AQL standard, which involves randomly drawing specific quantities of samples from completed production based on the internally accepted standard table II-A of MIL-STD-105D. This means that a predetermined number of defects are deemed acceptable, such as 0 for Critical Defects, 1.5 for Major Defects, and 4.0 for Minor Defects. For certain product types that require destructive inspections or have more complex procedures, special inspection Level S-3 will typically be implemented.

Inspection services – In-line and/ or final quality

Upon completion of production and packing of the entire order quantity into final shipping cartons, a final quality inspection will be conducted for each shipment. If necessary, an in-line inspection can be performed during production for new products. We adhere to our customers’ specified Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) and use random sampling testing to determine the highest percentage of defects that are acceptable. In cases where no AQL is specified by the customer or provided in the purchase order, Procport Solutions Limited will recommend an AQL for customer approval.

Classification of defects and categorization based on severity

Procport Solutions Limited inspectors possess comprehensive technical knowledge of the products and are extensively trained. Defects are classified into four categories: Critical, Major, Minor, and Trivial. The inspection report categorizes the defects based on their appearance, workmanship, packaging, product specification, weight and size dimensions, functionality, and other aspects. The defect classification breakdown and recommendations are clearly stated in the report, which assists customers in determining the acceptable number of each type of defect in their finished goods.

Reporting and customer approved corrective action planning

The inspection reports provide a comprehensive Quality Control checklist that details all the findings after an inspection. The list includes a thorough enumeration of common and well-known quality defects specific to the product type. Prior to releasing the shipment, customers can review the report to determine the acceptable number of each type of defect they are willing to accept.
